My Journey into Jewelry Making: A Hobby Turned Passion
In life, we all have our hobbies and passions that provide us with a sense of purpose and fulfillment. For me, one of those passions has been jewelry making. It’s a craft that I stumbled upon in August 1987 when I entered the Jewelry Engraving School at Hiyoshi, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Over the course of ten years, I immersed myself in this art, learning various techniques, from cutting and brazing to grinding, hammering, engraving, and wax work. This journey led me to create an array of beautiful pieces, from brooches and chains to rings, arm rings, necklace pendants, key holders, and more. This article is a glimpse into my journey and the joy I found in crafting jewelry.
