When I first heard this song as a teenager, I thought that there was no way I could predict how far in the future it would be to turn 64, and that it meant nothing to me. But now, not only am I 64 years old, but six years have passed since then. Every time I hear this song, I think, “This is what it means to be an old man.” There is a wife who has been with such the old man for decades. This song is a love song for my wife.
